01 / Internal Operations and Reporting

One page with the whole company on it, current every morning, and the repetitive work gone.

The weekly number takes somebody half a day to assemble from five systems, and it is describing last week by the time it lands. The same information gets typed into three tools. Procedures live in one person's head.

For one roofing company, Surge pulled five systems onto one page that refreshes every morning before the owner is awake. The half-day of copying is gone.

02 / What changes
  • The owner opens one page and knows how the company is doing, on a phone, before the day starts.
  • Funnel, response time, and team conversion are measured the same way every week, so coaching is about numbers.
  • Onboarding, document collection, and SOPs run on checklists software keeps instead of memory.
03 / How the workflow runs

Six steps, and a person on the controls at step five.

Every Surge workflow runs the same shape: something triggers it, it qualifies or processes, it updates your system, it talks to the customer in your voice, it hands anything uncertain to a person, and it measures what changed.

  • Owner dashboard across CRM, accounting, reviews, and call tracking, refreshed daily
  • Weekly KPI report with a plain reading of what moved
  • Lead-to-close funnel report by lead month
  • Daily owner digest of yesterday's numbers and today's exceptions
  • SOP drafted from a screen recording, edited and approved by the owner
  • Employee onboarding sequence and document collection
  1. 01Trigger

A schedule fires or a record changes

Every morning for the dashboard; on the event for onboarding and documents.

  2. 02Qualify or process

    Pull and normalize

Read each system, reconcile definitions, compute the numbers the owner actually watches.

  3. 03System update

    Write it where it lives

Dashboard refreshed, tasks created, documents requested, SOP drafted.

  4. 04Customer communication

    Deliver to the team

Owner gets the page or digest; staff get their tasks; new hires get their checklist.

  5. 05Human escalation

    Flag what needs a person

Missing data, a number outside its range, a stalled onboarding step.

  6. 06Measurement

    Spot-check

Every tile matches a source-of-truth check; where data is missing, the report says so.

04 / Where a person decides
  • Reports state what the systems contain and where data is missing; nothing fills a gap with a guess
  • Inbox triage drafts; a person sends
  • Team reports are framed as capacity, never as headcount decisions
05 / Important limitations
  • A dashboard is only as honest as the data entry behind it; the first weeks usually surface fields nobody was filling in
  • Multi-location rollups beyond a handful of locations are data engineering and are scoped after a technical review
  • Legal and healthcare inboxes carry confidential content and need covered vendors or exclusion rules before any triage
06 / Price and timeline

$8,000 to $25,000

Two to three weeks

Most reporting and operations builds connect several systems and are multi-tool builds. A single report or SOP workflow is a single automation.

10 / Questions
Do I need new software for this?

Usually not. The dashboard reads from what you already run and renders on a page or a report you already have access to. If something new is needed, it is in the scope with its monthly cost before you sign.

What if my systems will not connect?

The Roadmap call checks that first. Where an API does not exist, a scheduled export often does, and where neither does, the roadmap says so instead of quoting a build that would fail.
